Raipur, Sept. 20 -- The monsoon has produced sharply different rainfall patterns across Chhattisgarh this year, with Balrampur having received 1,488.5 mm since June 1, equivalent to 169.7 per cent of its normal rainfall, while Kanker has recorded 945.7 mm, just 67 pc of normal- the lowest in the state.
The contrast comes against a state-wide rainfall total of 996.5 mm, or 96.4% of the normal 1,033.6 mm, according to figures released by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department up to September 19.
