Prayagraj, Jan. 22 -- The alleged misbehaviour with disciples of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati at the Magh Mela in Prayagraj on January 18 has reached the Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission.
Advocate Dr Gajendra Singh Yadav of the Allahabad High Court has filed a complaint with the Commission, terming the matter serious and seeking its intervention.
The complaint alleges misbehaviour, assault, and jostling of the disciples by the fair administration and police. It also raises serious concerns over their alleged prevention from proceeding to the Triveni Sangam.
Dr Yadav has demanded an independent and impartial inquiry into the incident and legal action against the officials found responsible.
