Mexico City, June 5 -- More than 15 years after her hit, 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', soundtracked the FIFA World Cup in 2010, Shakira will perform her new song, 'Dai Dai', aheadof the opening game of the 2026 edition.
The official song of the tournament - which is co-hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. - will be performed at the opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11 before Mexico playSouth Africa.
Alongside collaborating artist Burna Boy, 'Dai Dai' has been released in support of FIFA's Global Citizen Education Fund.
The song will also feature on the official World Cup album, starring songs from Stormzy, The Rolling Stones, and J Balvin, among others., according to olympics.com.
