New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday attended the 79th Foundation Day event of Delhi Police and laid the foundation stone for ten new Delhi Police projects.

Addressing the gathering, Shah said that the first phase of the Safe City Project has been inaugurated. The modern Integrated Command, Control, Communication and Computer Centre (C4I), built at a cost of approximately Rs 857 crore, has been dedicated to the people of Delhi. He said that eleven district-level C3I centres and seventy-five police station-level C2I units will be integrated with the system.

Under the programme to connect Delhi with 10,000 cameras, 2,100 cameras have already been connected live in the first phase. Shah expressed confidence that the Safe C...
