Chandigarh, April 14 -- A pall of gloom spread across Ludhiana on Tuesday morning following the tragic death of a devoted 'sewadar' during a religious service on the occasion of Baisakhi. The incident occurred at Gurdwara Sri Singh Sabha in Kartar Nagar, situated under the Atma Nagar police post on Dugri Road, when a mechanical failure led to a fatal fall from a significant height.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Maninder Singh, was performing the sacred ritual of changing the 'Chola Sahib' (the cloth covering of the Nishan Sahib).
