Chennai, Oct. 28 -- The landfall process of the Severe Cyclonic Storm "Montha" overthe Bay has commenced this evening, Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai,Director Ms B Amudha said.
It would take about 3-4 hours for the Severe Cyclonic Storm completely cross the coastbetween Machilapatnam and Kalingapatnam near Kakinada.
She said the Severe Cyclonic Storm over westcentral Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 17 kmph during the past six hours and lay centeredat 1730 hrs of today over the same region.
