Patna, Sept. 10 -- Several major rivers in Bihar continued to flow above their respective danger marks on Thursday, although water levels were receding at most locations, offering some signs of relief.
Sources at the Water Resources Department, referring to its data, said here that the Gandak, Kosi, Bagmati, Burhi Gandak, Ganga, Punpun, and Ghaghra were flowing above the danger mark at several locations.
The Gandak at Dumaria Ghat in Gopalganj was flowing at 62.42 metres, 0.20 metres above the danger mark, with the water level showing a declining trend. The Kosi was 1.37 metres above the danger mark at Baltara and 1.50 metres above it at Kursela, with water levels falling at both locations.
