Patna, Sept. 27 -- Several rivers in Bihar, including the Gandak, Kosi and Bagmati, continued to flow above their respective danger marks at several locations on Sunday amid persistent rainfall and increased water inflow from catchment areas in Nepal.
According to data released by the Bihar Water Resources Department , water levels in the Gandak and Kosi, as well as at several monitoring stations along the Bagmati, remained above the danger marks. The department is also keeping a close watch on the discharge from major barrages.
At Dumariaghat in Gopalganj district, the Gandak river was flowing at 63.00 metres, which was 0.78 metres above its danger mark of 62.22 metres. The water level was continuing to rise.
