Sasaram, March 10 -- District Judge (X) Umesh Rai on Monday awarded life imprisonment to seven brothers in connection with a 12-year-old murder case.
The judge delivered the verdict while hearing the case related to the murder of Ambika Pal that occurred in Chhittan Dihra village under the Kochas Police Station area of Rohtas district.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on each of the convicts. In case of non-payment of the fine, they will have to undergo an additional three months of imprisonment.
The convicts are Rangeela Pal, Ravindra Pal, Virendra Pal, Yogendra Pal, Rajendra Pal, Ramesh Pal and Umesh Pal, all residents of Chhittan Dihra village.
