Shimla, March 4 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court has sought a response from the Finance Secretary of the State government after it came to light that pension payments were being released nearly seven months after sanction, raising concern over hardship faced by pensioners.
The direction came during the hearing of Execution Petition No. 2555 of 2025 titled Opinder Sharma and others vs State of Himachal Pradesh and others. The matter was heard on March 2 before a Bench comprising Chief Justice G.S. Sandhawalia and Justice Bipin C. Negi.
