Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- In a major crackdown on organised cybercrime, the Court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday convicted seven accused involved in criminal activities that posed a threat to the nation's internal security and stability.

Based on strong evidence presented during the trial, the court sentenced all seven accused to three years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) along with a fine of Rs.32,000 each. The court further ruled that failure to pay the fine would result in an additional three months of RI.
