Patna, April 18 -- The Bihar Rural Works Department has blacklisted seven contractors for periods ranging from three to four years on charges of negligence in road construction and maintenance.
Official sources said six contractors have been barred for three years for failing to complete construction work within the deadline under key schemes, including the Chief Minister's Rural Road Connectivity Programme and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Despite the expiry of project timelines, the contractors had left the works incomplete.
