Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- A one month old baby allegedly changed hands through a series of transactions across Maharashtra and Telangana after his parents first sold him for Rs 1.20 lakh, prompting police to investigate a possible interstate infant trafficking network.
Seven people, including the baby's parents, have been arrested and the infant has been recovered from Hyderabad.
The case surfaced in the Mukundwadi area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
According to police, the parents initially handed over their month old child to a middlewoman identified as Seema Reshwal for Rs 1.20 lakh.
