Chennai, Jan. 3 -- Veteran Congress leader and former union Home and Finance MinistrP Chidambaram today welcomed and hailed the new Tamil Nadu Assures Pension Scheme(TAPS) announced by Chief Minister M K Stalin for state government employees and teachersIn a post on X, he wrote the TAPS was drafted with the announcement that 50 per cent assuredpension of the last drawn salary and employees contribution of 10 per cent was a good developmentthat would ensure the livelihood of Government employees and teachers.
