Hyderabad, March 24 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP during the general discussion on the State Budget 2026-27, while strongly defending the government's welfare initiatives.
Participating in the debate, she alleged that the BJP, despite making "grandiose claims," has failed to enhance pensions for differently-abled persons and widows over the past decade. She also said the controversial farm laws were withdrawn only after sustained protests led by Rahul Gandhi and farmers across the country.
