Chandigarh, Feb. 17 -- Security was intensified at a private hospital in Punjab's Mohali district on Tuesday after an email threatened a bomb attack and alleged that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had been poisoned with a radioactive substance, police said.
Chief Minister Mann is currently undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital. The threat was sent via email at 1:11 pm claimed that the Chief Minister had been infected with Polonium, a highly toxic radioactive substance, by the heirs of Dilawar Singh. The sender, identifying as the 'Khalistan National Army,' further threatened that if the Chief Minister survived the alleged poisoning, he would meet a fate similar to the late former CM Beant Singh, who was assassinated by a human bomb.
