Kolhapur, June 20 -- In the backdrop of union Minister Amit Shah's visit to Kolhapur district on Saturday, Police have tightened security arrangements across the city and in Ichalkaranji.
Earlier, Shah arrived late at night at Ujalaiwadi Airport at 2:10 am, where he was welcomed by MP Dhananjay Mahadik, BJP district president Vijay Jadhav, along with the district collector, DSP, and IGP. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his two deputies Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar also arrived seperately to participate in the functions of Shah.
