Chandigarh, April 26 -- The political fallout following the departure of seven Rajya Sabha MPs from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) escalated on Sunday as the Punjab government withdrew the Y-category security cover provided to former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh.
Following the state's decision to recall the Punjab Police personnel previously stationed at his Jalandhar residence, the union government promptly intervened by extending CRPF protection to the MP. Personnel from the central force have since been deployed at his home to ensure his safety.
