New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- A 50-year-old security guard died after a sliding gate fell on him at an under-construction hostel on Kasturba Gandhi Marg here, police said on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Dharampal, a resident of Ganeshpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district.
Police received information about the incident at Parliament Street police station on Sunday after Dharampal was injured at the construction site.
According to the preliminary investigation, Dharampal and a co-worker were on duty from 9 am to 9 pm when two electricians were carrying out electrical connection work on an already installed sliding gate.
