Imphal, Sept. 18 -- Security forces arrested three suspects in separate operations conducted in Thoubal, Kangpokpi, and Tengnoupal districts as part of extensive intelligence-based combing and cordon-and-search operations targeting extortion and other criminal activities in the state.
One suspect, Kanta, an alleged member of a militant outfit, was apprehended yesterday under the jurisdiction of Nongpok Sekmai police station.
In another operation, security forces intercepted a silver-colored vehicle at the Tengnoupal police station check post and arrested its driver, Hengougin Haokip of Luwangsangol Village, Kangpokpi district.
