Imphal, Nov. 4 -- : Security Forces yesterday apprehended an active member of the proscribed outfit United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) from Imphal East district and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in a separate operation in Kangpokpi district.
According to police, the man was arrested from Nongren Awang Leikai under Lamlai Police Station jurisdiction.
In a separate search operation conducted the same day, Security Forces recovered several arms and ammunition from the adjoining forest areas of Loibol village and Charaipandongba Part-I under New Keithelmanbi Police Station, Kangpokpi district.
