Imphal, March 30 -- Security forces carried out a series of successful operations across Manipur on March 28 and 29, leading to the arrest of an active insurgent, recovery of arms and explosives, and seizure of narcotics, police said on Monday.

On March 29, security forces arrested an alleged militant at Imphal West district.

In a separate operation conducted on March 28 near Yangoubung village along the Indo-Myanmar border, close to Border Pillar No. 73 under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district, security forces recovered a significant cache of arms, explosives, and communication equipment.
