Kolkata, May 27 -- The district police administration has scaled down the security arrangements for senior Trinamool Congress leaders Anubrata Mondal and Kajal Sheikh in Birbhum from Tuesday night.
According to police sources, the pilot vehicles, escort arrangements and security deployment outside their residences have been withdrawn.
Former state minister and Bolpur Trinamool MLA Chandranath Sinha has also faced a reduction in security cover after the BJP government came to power in the state.
Anubrata Mondal, considered one of the most influential political leaders in Birbhum and former convenor of the district Trinamool core committee, earlier had round-the-clock police deployment outside his residence at Nichupatti in Bolpur.
