Varanasi, April 14 -- Security agencies conducted an early morning raid on the residence of a paediatric specialist in the Adampur police station area of Varanasi on Tuesday, triggering heightened security in the locality.
Teams from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) arrived at the doctor's house in the Omkareshwar neighborhood and placed the entire family under house surveillance.
According to sources, the accused is believed to be linked to the recent arrest of four terror suspects in Lucknow.
The doctor and his wife reportedly operate a hospital within their two-storey residence. While the family resides on the first floor along with their teenage son, the ground floor houses a seven-room medical facility.
