Kolkata, July 6 -- Police have arrested another accused in connection with the murder of a minor in Baruipur, taking the total number of arrests in the case to two.
Three more people have also been detained and are being questioned in connection with the investigation.
The first accused in the murder case was arrested on Sunday and is scheduled to be produced before the Baruipur court on Monday.
Following the initial arrest, police launched a search operation to trace the remaining suspects in the case.
Raids continued through the night, leading to the second arrest and the detention of three others.
The body of a 12-year-old girl was recovered from a pond on Sunday morning after she had been missing since Saturday.
