Mumbai, Dec. 17 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad said on Wednesday that a seat-sharing formula has been finalised with the BJP for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and other local body elections under which the party with greater strength and influence in a particular area, will contest that seat to ensure a higher chance of victory.

Talking to mediapersons, Gaikwad stated that the Mahayuti's primary objective is to unseat the party that has controlled the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for the last 25 years and bring about a change in power.
