Washington/Tehran, April 3 -- As Iran recently shot down a US fighter jet, a search and rescue operation ios now underway to locate the aircraft's two missing pilots who ejected on time.
The US military has declined to give any comments on the incident, though Axios had earlier reported that a "source familiar with the incident" had confirmed the shootdown with a search for the plane's crew now in effect.
Conflicting reports have emerged about the aircraft being shot down, with the IRGC claiming that it brought down an F-35, while others claim it was an F-15.
