Dharamshala, June 25 -- The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) on Thursday held a consultation meeting with local residents, stakeholders and officials for the proposed establishment of a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Complex at Bagora village in Palampur subdivision of Kangra district.
The proposed facility will be developed as Himachal Pradesh's Centre of Excellence for disaster response operations.
Addressing the meeting, DSP, HPSDRF, Kailash Sharma said the modern and integrated SDRF complex would significantly enhance operational preparedness, training capabilities, emergency response efficiency and welfare facilities during disasters.
