Chennai, April 7 -- As the scrutiny of a record 7,599 nominations filed for the April 23 Tamil Nadu elections continued on Tuesday, more than 4,200 papers were found in order and accepted that included top leaders of various political parties including Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin, leading the multi-party Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA), Opposition AIADMK Leader EdappadiK Palaniswami, heading the NDA, and the nascent TVK Founder and actor-turned-neta Vijay, testing his electoral fortunes for the first time, and NTK Founder Seeman.
All the four were the CM candidates of their respective parties and their presence in fray was officially confirmed by the ECI. .
