Hyderabad, Sept. 15 -- South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Tuesday directed officials to strengthen security along railway tracks to prevent miscreant activities and improve communication between patrol staff, trackmen and station staff.
Srivastava, who reviewed the safety of train operations across the zone at a meeting held at Rail Nilayam here, instructed officials and supervisors to exercise caution during track maintenance involving men and machinery and strictly follow prescribed safety rules and procedures.
He directed supervisors to counsel field staff to maintain alertness and follow safety protocols while performing their duties.
