Hyderabad, Nov. 13 -- A MoU was signed on Wednesday between South Central Railway (SCR), the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad to standardize the architecture of Kavach, the indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system developed by Indian Railways.
The MoU, signed at the IIT Hyderabad campus on Wednesday, aims to develop interoperability at the modular hardware level of the Kavach system, allowing seamless plug-and-play compatibility across various components, regardless of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
