Kirtipur, May 15 -- Skipper Richie Berrington stepped up once again when it counted as Scotland pulled off a narrow victory over the USA in Nepal to move to the top of the ICCMen's Cricket World Cup League 2 standings.
Berrington claimed a superb diving catch in the final over to dismiss USA centurion and potential match-winner Saiteja Mukkamalla as Scotland held on for a two-run triumph (DLS Method) ina rain affected clash here on Thursday.
The victory helped Scotland surpass the USA and move to the top of the League 2 standings and further strengthens the chances of the European side progressing directly to the Qualifier tournament for next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
