Visakhapatnam, Aug. 6 -- South Coast Railway (SCoR) has made a significant progress in infrastructure development, safety, passenger services and operational efficiency within two months of commencing operations on June 1, 2026, General Manager Sandeep Mathur said today.

Addressing a press conference at the Zonal Headquarters here, Mathur said the formation of the new railway zone involved building the organisation from the ground up, including creation of infrastructure, deployment of manpower, financial arrangements, budget allocation, redistribution of projects, establishment of control systems and implementation of operational rule books.
