London, Aug. 30 -- A big name missing from England's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup2025 squad was that of all-rounder Kate Cross.

Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt, who does not sit on the selection panel, believes the omission from the squad for the England mainstay was a big blow to the latter. However, in the grand scheme ofthings, Sciver-Brunt believes, it highlights the bench strength in play for England.

"Being left out is never nice and for someone who has been a mainstay of our side for a really long time it probably has another level to it," Sciver-Brunt told PA news agency.
