Mumbai, Sept. 13 -- A group of scientists, academics and science activists under the banner of the India March for Science, has called for an immediate suspension of the controversial E20 ethanol-blending programme, abolition of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and enactment of a comprehensive nationwide law against black magic and exploitative superstitious practices.
The demands were articulated at an event organised at the Mumbai Press Club late Saturday evening, where scientists, academics, educators, students and advocates of scientific temper voiced concern over what they described as inadequate public investment in education and research, erosion of evidence-based policymaking and growing propagation of pseudoscience.
