New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday said that so far, 85-95 acres of land have been reclaimed across Okhla, Bhalswa and Ghazipur, bringing a cleaner environment and better quality of life for nearby communities.
She said that her government had promised to clear the garbage mountains of the city, and accordingly it is being done with a scientific road map, the best way and approach towards doing the work, and implementation in a time-bound manner.
Gupta, in a video posted on social media platform X, explained that, talking of the Okhla landfill, so far 70 lakh metric tonnes of garbage has been processed and with that a total of around 35 acres of land has been reclaimed.
