New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- A 12-year-old girl riding to school with her uncle died on the spot after being run over by a DTC bus in East Delhi's New Ashok Nagar on Friday.
The victim, identified as Kanya Pal, was riding on a scooter with her uncle when a bus rammed them from behind at around 8:30 am.
The impact threw the scooter onto the road, and the girl came under the bus. She died on the spot after suffering severe crush injuries. According to police officials, the girl's body was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Kalyanpuri for medico-legal proceedings.
