Jammu, May 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said the nutrition of the younger generation will shape the future of the nation and stressed that every school child must have access to balanced and nourishing meals.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone of Akshaya Patra Foundation's centralized kitchen facility in Katra in Reasi district, Sinha said that once operational, the facility will provide 5,000 nutritious meals to school children every day.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also spoke about Akshaya Patra's future projects in the union Territory, including an upcoming kitchen facility in Jammu.
