New Delhi, July 14 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to interfere with the Jharkhand High Court's order suspending the sentence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad in the Deoghar fodder scam case.

However, it requested the High Court to decide Yadav's pending criminal appeal within six months.

A bench of Justice MM Sundresh and Justice PB Varale was hearing a Special Leave Petition filed by the State of Jharkhand challenging the Jharkhand High Court's July 12, 2019, order suspending Lalu Prasad's sentence in the Deoghar treasury fodder scam case.
