Parmod KumarNew Delhi, Aug. 14 -- The Supreme Court on Friday called for a comprehensive plan to restore movement on all blocked highways in Manipur, observing that selectively opening one highway or one stretch while another remained blocked would not resolve the problem.
Describing highways as the "lifeline of the common person" for access to food, medicines, fuel and other essential commodities, the Court said blockades were not serving the cause of any community but causing hardship to everyone.
