SC's decision in the Sambhal case is another major blow to the Yogi government: CPI(ML)

Lucknow, Sept. 29 -- The CPI(ML) on Tuesday described the Supreme Court's revocation of the National Security Act (NSA) imposed on Mulla Afroz in the Sambhal case and the imposition of a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the state government as a major blow to the Yogi Adityanath government.

The party said that this decision raises serious questions about the arbitrary use of draconian laws like the NSA in the state and the resulting suppression of citizens' democratic rights.
