New Delhi, March 20 -- The Supreme Court was informed on Friday that an expert committee will be formed by the Central Government to review NCERT's controversial Class 8 chapter on judicial corruption.

The proposed members of the committee are senior advocate and former Attorney General K K Venugopal, former Supreme Court judge Indu Malhotra, and National Judicial Academy Director and former Supreme Court judge Aniruddha Bose.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed a bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, along with Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul Pancholi, during the hearing of another petition seeking the removal of certain remarks about a Supreme Court judgment from an older NCERT social science textbook.
