New Delhi, Sept. 27 -- The Supreme Court today eased the bail conditions of Uttar Pradesh MLA Abbas Ansari in a case under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act, permitting him to travel outside the state with prior intimation to the investigating officers.
A Bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi directed that Ansari must ensure the expeditious disposal of pending trials and cooperate fully with proceedings.
"The petitioner is allowed to travel outside the state of UP, provided that he furnishes the particulars of place of visit to the trial court, along with contact number to the investigating officer, and ensures that the trial proceedings are not hampered or delayed," the Bench ordered.
