SC Commission member visits Kangra village after attack on Dalit man, assures strict action

Ashok RainaNurpur, Sept. 1 -- Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission member and advocate Digvijay Malhotra on Tuesday visited Nadai village in Kandwal panchayat of Kangra district to take stock of an alleged attack and verbal abuse of a Scheduled Caste man.

Malhotra met the victim and his family and gathered details about the incident. He also sought information from the police administration regarding the action taken in the case.

Assuring the family of strict action against those responsible, he expressed satisfaction over the prompt response by the police and directed the authorities to ensure adequate security for the victim and his family.
