Parmod KumarNew Delhi, July 14 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday said it would intervene and stay any coercive action against teachers for not implementing the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) three-language policy, introduced from the current academic year for students of Classes VI to IX, amid concerns over shortage of textbooks and the abrupt implementation of the scheme.
Assuring protection to teachers if disciplinary action was initiated against them, a Bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana observed that they could approach the Court.
