Riyadh, Sept. 24 -- Warning of potential drone or missile attacks amid fresh escalation in Houthi attacks, including one on the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Civil Defence issued a series of brief alerts to residents on Thursday.
The alerts, issued through Saudi Arabia's National Early Warning Platform, also covered Yanbu in the Red Sea governorate, as well as Taif, Jeddah and the Tabuk region. "A warning has been issued by the National Early Warning Platform in Mecca City to alert of a potential danger," the Civil Defence said.
While the warnings were lifted within minutes, it was not made immediately clear whether they were connected to the six ballistic missiles that the Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted later on Thursday or somethin...
