New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- Congress leaders on Sunday stepped up criticism of the BJP government in Delhi over administrative accountability and building safety standards after a paying guest accommodation collapsed in Satya Niketan near Delhi University's South Campus, reportedly trapping students beneath the debris.

The incident occurred a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), where he interacted with students and spoke about his association with the prestigious institution.
