Pune, Oct. 30 -- Senior litterateur and scholar of saint literature Dr Ulhasdada Pawar on Thursday stressed the need to promote the teachings of saints in their true spirit through kirtans, saying the Warkari tradition upholds the values of equality, brotherhood and discipline.
He was speaking as the president of the 17th Nandi Sammelan, titled 'Sahitya Nishthanchi Mandiyali', organised at Alandi near Pune in the run-up to the 100th All India Marathi Literary Conference.
