Kolhapur, July 15 -- The Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj -'Palkhi' procession has officially entered Satara district today after bidding farewell to Pune district.
Taking the traditional holy bath of Mauli's 'Padukas' at the Neera river, the Palkhi arrived at the Padegaon-Lonand border of the district, where it will halt until July 18 as it makes its way to Pandharpur.
To accommodate the thousands of devotees, the district administration has set up essential facilities, including German hangars for Warkari accommodation, mobile clinics, and strict security with local police, home-guards.
