Sangli, Aug. 3 -- State Minister Chandrakant Patil has said that under the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a target of planting 300 crore trees has been set in the state by 2047. For this, an annual plan has been drawn up, and Sangli district has been given a target of planting 15 lakh trees during the monsoon season of 2026.
Patil, who is state minister for higher and technical education and also district guardian minister, was speaking at the 'Green Sangli' tree plantation program organized at Miraj Railway Station area under the Maharashtra Government's Green Maharashtra 300 Crore Tree Plantation Campaign.
